If you are using berries, don’t add them until 10 minutes before serving.
You can make this the night before and take some for lunch the next day.
This fruit salad could become dessert by sprinkling it with granola.
Here are some other possibilities when they are in season:
Blackberries, cherries, raspberries, peaches, nectarines, pears and grapes.
Plan Ahead! Think about picking some local berries during the summer and freezing them on trays.
Once they are frozen you can put them in plastic bags for storage in the freezer.
Think how fun it will be to surprise your family with this salad next winter by including some of the fruit you picked in the summer!
