  • ½ of a banana
  • 5 or 6 ice cubes

  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 full spoonful crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (thawed until soft – add liquid too)
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries (or half blackberries and half blueberries)
  • 5 or 6 ice cubes

Peach Smoothie

  • ½ cup milk or soy milk
  • 1 cup cranberry or apple juice
  • 1 cup frozen peaches
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (thawed until soft – add liquid too)
  • ½ of a banana
  • 5 or 6 ice cubes

Blueberry Smoothie

  • ½ cup milk or soy milk
  • 1 cup cranberry or apple juice
  • 1 ½ cup frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup frozen strawberries (thawed until soft – add liquid too)
  • ½ of a banana
  • 5 or 6 ice cubes

Mango-Berry Smoothie

  • 1 cup fresh or defrosted mango
  • 1/2 cup milk or soy milk
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • Zest from the orange
  • 1/2 banana
  • 1/2 cup berries
  • 5-6 ice cubes
  •

Blend in electric blender until smooth.

If the smoothie is too runny, add more frozen fruit or ice. If it’s too thick and won’t blend easily, add more juice or milk.  If you're poking around in the blender with a spoon handle to make the contents drop into the blending knives, PLEASE, don't do it while the blender is running!  Mayhem will ensue.

Optionally you can add some plain yoghurt if you have some around
