We agree with Wendell Berry that “Eating is an agricultural act.”  The votes we make with every bite determine not only the health of our bodies, our children’s bodies but those of future generations and that of the land on which we all depend.  For a number of generations we have been divorced from the land that sustains us so a healing of that relationship requires nothing less than a diligent student to re educate themselves, reweave the broken rope of knowledge and create a regenerative, durable future.  As our young son regularly and adamantly demanded, “Wead, Wead, Wead!”
