Classes
Summer In A Jar provides the skills and confidence to safely preserve food at home, one-step-at -a-time. All classes cover safe canning techniques using approved recipes. Classes will gather in my barn, a private party in your home or a community hall of your procurement. We are quite mobile so we can take the show on the road to your community center or Farmer’s Market.
- Many of our classes are scheduled according to the harvest. We will schedule sessions when we are certain of the harvest date. If you don’t see the class listed you would like to take, please call or email to see what other arrangements can be made. Note that some offerings are all day affairs, others just partial days and evenings. Each class will include a link for registration. You will then be taken to a choice of payment options either online or by mailing in a check. We will send a confirmation via email when we receive your payment. You will be asked to acknowledge our Cancellation Policy during checkout.
The classes are distinguished by season. If you want to can asparagus, choose Spring. Hungry for tomatoes, choose Summer. If you want to get going as soon as possible then select the current season and see what’s being offered.
